Hello,

I believe that I have the right settings in ED but public and guest users cannot post a reply to an existing discussion. I've supplied details for my test website, so please let me know whatever you do to fix the problem.

Please note that there is no useful information to the user as to what went wrong. Can this be fixed.
Hi Abi,

The reason why guest/public users cannot post a reply to an existing discussion is that the Posts "menu item type" is set to (Posts) New Post Layout. This new post menu layout is for users to create a discussion and this does not allow the guest user to create a discussion, since the global category ACL permissions (backend > Easydiscuss > Settings > Categories) for guest users to create new discussion is disabled.

You must set the menu item type to "(Posts) Default layout" so the guest user can able to view the discussion listing page and the guest user can able to add a reply to an existing discussion as well.
