How do we view profile widgets in mobile view?

There are a number of profile widgets which have features not found in the modules.
They can easily be switched off and on for the desktop view.
However, on the mobile device, its not possible to view these widgets for the timeline view.
For other views (Abount, Albums etc) it seems to be fine.

It looks like the menu link on left bottom is missing
Hi there,

Actually, we have decided to hide them on mobile version as those information already redundant and to avoid mobile, load a lot of data, and use less bandwidth to display them. It is also because those items accessible using the user covers itself.

But it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

Thanks for your understanding.

So how do we see things like:

  • friends & mutual friends
  • followers & following
  • user created polls
  • any third-party app

Remember, when looking at a profile we want to see that profiles content only. There is no other way or place we can do that.
Its available on the desktop view but not the mobile view, which pretty much cripples the whole mobile social aspect of viewing profiles.

Hi there,

Sorry for not explaining them clearly. You can check them related content on "More" section here http://take.ms/1NbCj. Currently, that how it works actually.

Please advice.

Yes, I have no problem with that approach.
The problem is actually now quite simple.
On the desktop version of the site, the full list of options is shown in the more dropdown.
On the mobile, the only options that appear on the "more" option are followers, albums, video and audio.
The rest are there but hidden unless you scroll down.
It's not obvious that you can scroll within the more box to see the other options.
Most users will simply think that only those 4 options are available.

Is there no way we can provide some sort of indicator that there are more items to view if you scroll down?
Maybe a down chevron or something?

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Currently, you need to make those apps as 'Default' in order for to able to see them on your 'more' sections as you can see here http://take.ms/WnRNX.

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

No thats not what I meant.
On mobiles, the dropdown shows the first 4 items. To see the rest you scroll down, even if they are default apps.
I understand you need to limit the size of the more dropdown box on mobiles, so showing 4 items and scrolling to see more is fine.

However, there is no indicator to show that you CAN scroll down to see more.

As a user, I would assume that only the first 4 items that I see are available. I would not think to scroll down further and there is nothing to make me think I should.

We need some indicator to users to say " hey there are more options if you just scroll down"

That can be done with a chevron in the bottom right corner of the more box or something like that.

Hi there,

Sorry for my understanding on my previous reply. It seems that there are issues on our office template. I have logged this issues internally and this fixes will be included on our next release version.

By the way, maybe you can try to apply css codes below at this path .../templates/office/css/custom.css and see how it goes.

[gist type="css"]
#es.is-mobile .es-profile-header-nav__item .dropdown-menu {
max-height: inherit;
}
[/gist]

Yes, the above now lists all the items.
It's better than how it was before

Hi there,

You are most welcome, we will see if we can implement a better way regarding this on our next release. By the way, glad to hear that your issue has been resolved now.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
