HI

Could you please check the setting and tell me what am I missing here? I believe if I set permalink to Real Name the profile url should display real name, not username.. Since we are using email as username, this is a security concern as we are exposing all the emails..
Hey there,
It seems the profile url are displaying the user's alias and not their permalink, which is why the permalink setting did not work.
I am having some issues registering at your frontend(refer screenshot). It seems that the Facebook app is not configured properly. Could you kindly look into this because I am trying to go through the registration process and see if I can replicate the issue.

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I noticed you have using 3rd party login extension (e.g. Facebook + Google plus) in your site, after I registered in your site via Google plus, it seems like the user alias data stored as email address, you can refer on my attach screenshot below.

And I also tried in our test site using Easysocial build-in Facebook login, it seems work fine, it will store the social account full name as user alias. (second screenshot)

Perhaps you can try temporary disable all of your 3rd party login extension and try configure Facebook login in your Easysocial and see how it goes?

By the way, before you do that, perhaps you can try take a look of your 3rd party extension configuration page is it got a setting to configure this to store user social account full name in your Easysocial user alias data? Or you can consult with your 3rd party extension regarding this as well?

Hello Arlex,

Thanks for your reply. I cant use built in login as I need to use social login using FB and G+. I am using JFBConnect, so using native isnt an option for me.

I will check with the devs and get back if any further help is required.

thanks again!

Alex from JFBConnect gave a fix for this such that it dosnt set user alias at all.. When the value is empty, url takes the real name.
