Hi guys.
Need your help.

In Profile Types -> Custom fields.... there is the "address" option, but there is no such setting as "not required". As I understand there are 2 ways:
1. to remove "address" option from profile
2. to push users to show their location.

On the "Requirement" tab if i set everything to "No", asterisk next to "Address" title does not disappear.

How to make it as "not required", so in this case users have a choice to show/not-show their addresses? I dont want to have any kind of push on my users)

Thanks.
1) I swear i did this!!!! U can see on the screen above!!! OMG Tell me where is the trick?)
2) Could u tell me how to get additional block of address as on your screen (with seperate Address 1\2, City, Zip, etc fields)?

Edited:
Ok, i got #1 - it is necessary to save it in order to add\remove requirement, however for the rest custom fields it changes on the fly (I mean without saving) and this made me confused. Could it be little bug report?)

Hello Anton,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
That was strange, because if you set everything NO from the requirement tab, it should still show out the field from your registration field.
Check my screenshot below.
If that was different from you, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hello Arlex.

I made 2 snapshots because we have different pictures.
U have "Address line 1\2, City, Zip, etc."
I dont have these options and I cant find why.

So the 1st (All_On) snapshot shows that if everything is required there are no fields "Address line 1\2, City, Zip, etc" as you have.
and the 2nd (All_Off) shows, that if everything is NOT required still there is the asterisk next to the address title (marked as red circle).

Backend is provided.
Thanks.

Hi Anton,

I don't use this field myself, so haven't double checked it, but if you check the "core" tab there is a setting which mentions "required" yes / no. If put to yes, it makes the field mandatory for your users.

Gr,
Danny

Hi Danny.
Thanks for the reply.
I dont have there "required" yes\no switcher for address. Hovewer I checked some Custom Fields and they do have this option (except Username and maybe someone else - I didnt check all of them). Anyway probably there is a problem somewhere because I have just "map"-version of address custom field, while on Arlex's screens there are additional address fields which I dont have.

Aha) Here is the trick! - You just use "Address" 2 times, 1 without map and 2 with.
Thanks a lot!
