When viewing my profile when I'm not signed in, it shows the first profile activity but does not display anymore. Ideally it should allow non logged in people to view profile stream items unless the admin hides it from the public or the user sets the privacy to not show to non logged in folks.
Hello Josh,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Regarding " it shows the first profile activity but does not display anymore" when I check your site, it shows this: http://screencast.com/t/xkwJH0ya . What do you mean by doesn't display anymore?

By the way, have you check user privacy settings? Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/0mIGKxwNp and do you have done any customization on the codes?

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Ha, I was a bit vague there. What I mean is there is no "load more" button for non logged in users. They only get to see a single stream item (or stream set) and are unable to see more activity from that user. As for privacy, here are a few screen shots that well shed some light about my settings:

Notice the privacy settings are not causing this issue? I checked all the profile privacy settings just in case.

Hello Josh,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have to double check with our developers about this issue and it seems like the current system doesn't have settings for "load previous stream item" for guest. It is intentionally hardcoded to view only 10 stream. Please check this file /administrator/components/com_easysocial/constants.php and change the SOCIAL_STREAM_GUEST_LIMIT and see how it goes.

Looking forward to hear back from you.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

An interesting mod for sure, however it doesn't really help the situation much. As a guest I was able to view 6 stream items by setting the stream settings to last 7 days (and setting the SOCIAL_STREAM_GUEST_LIMIT to 30). This means that I will not be able to see activity beyond that threshold (7 days is the maximum amount of time ES allows).

I understand the intentions of putting a 10 item limit which is a good thing for loading the stream. However when it comes to guests viewing activity it should be completely based on the privacy settings set by the admin and the individual user.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the heads up. We will see if we can change the behaviour for this public stream when view as guest. Currently public stream is limited to 10 items. This is intended so that guest will actually need to register to your site and login to view the complete stream In a way, it will bring in more guest to register to your site in mu opinion

I see your point, but giving the viewer the best possible viewing experience I think would also encourage them to join. For example if someone was viewing my profile for the first time as a non member, they would have no way of knowing that by logging in they could see more. Also they wouldn't know that the stream is dynamic either.
