Greetings,
Is there a way to set the default text of a custom field?
i.e. for Name in the text boxes it shows First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, or Password for the Password box, or user@email.com in gray text.

Reason I ask is, when making the custom field a part of the mini registration, it takes away the title of the field, thus just leaving a blank empty box with no description or title to indicate what should be filled in there.
Hi,

Sorry for the misinformation here. The textbox does have a placeholder config actually: http://cl.ly/image/2p280A1d0U3c

Well dang, well, I believe that would be a great feature request then

what about modifying the mini registration area to allow title labels to appear?
Where would I look for that?

Couldn't a language over ride handle this? I'm in no way docking on the idea, I think it's one worth considering. I personally am fine with the word choice the stacked team has chosen, but I could see how this would be nice for some folks.

Hi Nicholas,

Referring to your initial question, the placeholders are already there: http://cl.ly/image/1R3O162o3w0K The grey texts are in the textbox to indicate what the textbox are for.

Currently the placeholders are loaded through language strings, so if you would like to modify them, you will have to modify it through language strings.

Josh, we currently only set the placeholders for certain custom fields. More generic fields such as textbox etc doesn't have a place holder.

I see. Perhaps if a "blank language constant" was added they could use a language over ride.
