Hey there,

not sure if this problem came up after this: http://stackideas.com/forums/easydiscuss-app-new-threads-not-shown-in-stream-for-members,-but-admins-can-see-the-stream-post

But going on someone's profile and opening the chronic brings up the main stream with all entries.
Hey there,

Yes, I have help you revert back to original code then it work fine now.

By the way, I also consulted with my colleague regarding with your previous issue, something is strange because all the privacy is set correctly and nothing wrong with that `create` discussion stream post.

I also apply some fix in this file ->JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\models\stream.php , it should work fine now, can you give it a check now?

Hey Arlex,

I linked to another thread where this is inside the secret area:

ATTENTION: Please do not post anything as Julia. The site is live and many people using it and Julia is not known as a account made by admin.

You posted with Julia and even did not delete the stream entry.

Lets get back to the topic. The filters are not working now again and I do not understand what you mean with privacy? Users complain about not being able to see their forum posts and when I check it filtering for topics, registered users do not see all topic entries.

What do you mean with the privacy and what is wrong that from some people the topics are not shown inside the stream?

Hey Sabih,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here and apologized posted a test discussion in your live site.

May i know do you already delete that test stream yet? Because I checked again it seems like these test stream already removed.

However, I have revert back all the changes on this file JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\models\stream.php , when the user view their user profile, that timeline filter will show correctly stream now.

Regarding with your original issue, what I mentioned that privacy above is stream privacy, everything is set correctly. Perhaps you can provide us again with your test server so I can troubleshoot this issue on your test site?

By the way, may I know is it only Julia user "create discussion" stream will not appear on dashboard "discussion" filter?

Hey Arlex,

I do not want to ruin your weekend, you totally earn freetime as all of us.

By the way, may I know is it only Julia user "create discussion" stream will not appear on dashboard "discussion" filter?

No, I think we got a misunderstanding here or I do not understand what you mean, not sure.

The problem is, that as an admin I see all posts of EasyDiscuss inside the stream. As a registered user, I only see a few ones. Same goes for EasyBlog. You can try this by logging in as admin and filter the stream for 'Themen' (topics) and 'Magazin' (EasyBlog). After that, just logout and login as registered user. There are several entries missing for registered users. I got no idea why.

That is what some members on my site complained, they started threads in EasyDiscuss and can not see a stream entry. The problem is, my member rely and interact only on things inside the stream.

I do not understand is what you mean with privacy? Did I miss something? I have updated the login data on the start post in this topic here.

Hey Sabih,

I am not really sure if I understand the original issue or the problems that you are facing here but I am under the impression that they don't see everyone's stream because of the user's privacy.

For instance, if user A posts a new item on EasyDiscuss (with his privacy set to his friends only in EasySocial), only his friends would be able to see the stream item.

This doesn't apply to admin's because admin's should be able to see everything

I do not think that this is a privacy matter because the privacy of these profiles is set to registered in the backend when I look at their profiles. Also this does not only happen to EasyDiscuss posts but for EasyBlog posts as well. And how should it be a privacy problem if a user does not see his own post?

Hey Sabih,

You are using a much older version of EasySocial =0 and to be honest there are quite a number of fixes since 1.4.1, I am not too sure if you are hitting this because of the older version that you are using.

I appreciate your support on a sunday but we go around in circles. I updated to latest EasySocial on my backup site and the bug is still there.

In my startpost here I refer to the other thread: http://stackideas.com/forums/easydiscuss-app-new-threads-not-shown-in-stream-for-members,-but-admins-can-see-the-stream-post

I would have continued to write there but the thread is closed.

I have put 2 screenshots into the secret section of the first post in this thread here.
