Hey how's it going?

I'm having problems with the Email Paraser, I can't get it to work for Different categorys I've created all the email accounts and the passwords are correct but for some reason the emails aren't passing through any ideas?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Did you setup the cronjob for EasyDiscuss yet? Cronjobs are necessary to process emails remotely

No prob mate its easter ^^.

Ok so yeah i've got the Cron working. But some things strange is happening its only reading some of the Email accounts, and also, why is it that when a new reply is made there is an email sent to the custom email of that catergory saying a new reply is undermoderation (atached is an image of the inbox for a specific email account (for a specific catergory)

Hello Alex,

its only reading some of the Email accounts

By right easydiscuss must check if the user's email are registered into your site. My best guess is that the email used to sent to your custom email address is not registered on your site, hence the email is not processed.

when a new reply is made there is an email sent to the custom email of that catergory saying a new reply is undermoderation

You have set "Moderate parsed emails" to 'yes' and that is why every new reply made via email it will be under moderation, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-07_1702.png . You can find this option from your backend > easydiscuss > settings > general > email parser > publishing option

Yeah all Emails need to be moderated.

But those emails shouldn't be in there at all. The new reply isn't some one Replying. its come from the system on a auto basis. Its just the Moderators email saying a new post has been added. Not some one replying thats why its a prob for me as its getting posted and going into moderation for no reason.

Hello Alex,

Hmm, that is quite strange. I've checked your email record and it seems like easydiscuss is not sending anything to the custom email address for your email parser. You can check it from your backend > easydiscuss > email activities. Perhaps there is some email forwarding or alias from your main email setting that set to forward the email to your custom email address. Can you check it for me?

Not sure where you checked but in Email activity Each time an email is sent to Moderators then an Email is also sent to the Catergory custom Email.

attached is an image showing that:

in the example Service delivery is the custom email, but it happends for all

and i still can't get the Email paraser to work

so it seems its trying to get the Emails. But. I've been sending test emails to Global@technet-21.org and nothing is reading the emails account both emails i've sent are still not read.

Yeah this is frustrating becaue i can see that all email account are correct passwords etc, so i really don't see why its not working client is bashing my head in lol

Oh and by the way i'm sending my emails with an email that is regisered to the Network so thats not the issus

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

May I know do you remove all the configuration settings from your email parser page, backend > easydiscuss > settings > email parser, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-08_1619.png ? By the way regarding on the weird notification email that you received, it seems like you have set custom notification email for each category that you've created, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-08_1621.png .

What happen is if there is a new reply or new post under that category, it will send out notification email from the custom email that you've set in the category.

yeah i removed the main account as i want it to be used in each catergory not just one. Do i need to have some thing in the Email paraser if i'm only using the category email parser?

Yeah i havea custom Email address for each category as i need to have people receive email notifications from that email so that when they click reply it has the correct Email address associated.

how can i stop it from sending the emails to the category email adress

when i enter an actual email account it doesn't seem to accept it:

Retrying PLAIN authentication after [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.

when i do a Test connection. Even though the Passwords and email account are correct. so i'm really lost lol

Ok this is a freaking night mare, i have no idea what is wrong. All passwords account are corect. I get the Success now for the email paraser.

but when the cron is run, nothing happends it doesn't read the emails or log in. the email adress i'm using is a user in the system. so Now i'm really lost

Ok so seems some times it works some times it doesn't. I switched of Validate certificates and that went and got some emails test. But now if i try again it doesn't it insane and i can't see a logic behind any of it

Okay, I've temporary disable all your Easydiscuss categories email parser setting first, now we focus on the main email parser setting and solve this single category email parser first only check on each category email parser.

Is it possible provide us with this email account "global@technet-21.org" access? Also may i know how to login with your email account?

- It worked for one cron job by removeing the Validate Certificates.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

After some quite time of debugging, we found out easydiscuss was unable to read the following emails address's inbox,
1) servicedelivery@technet-21.org
2) vaccineproducts@technet-21.org
3) iis@technet-21.org
4) programme@technet-21.org

Refer the following screenshot for better view, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-09_1614.png

The error shows that this might be due to incorrect email username, password and inbox name. Can you check and validate again if the mentioned email address have the valid username and password? Also check and compare the inbox name of the mentioned email above with the "global@technet-21.org" inbox's name and see if it same or different.

Thanks man appriciate the help. No its fine whats anoying is having some one answer saying they are testing and then leaving lol i've been up allnight trying to figure things out, was kinda dispointed in that sence, either don't answer or say you will look into it when support is on line ^^but any way all good

I've changed the passwords to the Email accounts now to make sure we are al on the same page. I don't see how the mail box could be an issue as all the Email accounts are created in Cpanel.

I've added the Detials in the extra notes

BOSS that works now phew.

Ok but what i'm trying to figure out now is why does the Custom catergory receive notifications? as i'm using the Custom email so that people can reply to the notifications they receive. Its seems that when ever a notification is created to go out to the moderators for moderation it seems that it also send an email to -- the custom category email. That is causing problems because when the email parser checks the email accounts it picks up all of the notifications and posts them to be aprooved. as you can imagine its pilling up, well was i've deleted them now. How can i stop this from hapening?

Hi Alex,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

The purpose of the category custom email address is allow the admin set different moderator to handle different category user which discussion is under moderation and get the notification for which new discussion is published in the site.

By right, you shouldn't set your custom email address same with your category email parser email address is because the system will go through your mailbox and check which email is unread.
