Hi,
I have a problem with my EasyBlog :-(

A large part of my articles should contain CHESSGAMES.
The most common way to show them online is to use some kind of VIEWER, that allows to show animated games, embedding in text format the commentator's annotations/explanations.

the standard file format of the chess games (including moves and text annotation) is .PGN.

There is a number of pgn TOOLS available for publishing chess games in that way in blogs/web sites.

I Tried 2 of them:
1) pgn4web: this is a plug-in for Joomla 2.7. After installng the plugin, using some specific tags should allow to publish the game. However, the EasyBlog article did not recognize those tags

2) http://kvchess.com/publish.html
using this site, I am supposed to generate html code to be pasted into a web article and this displays a chessboard, with a side pane containg moves and textual explanations.
What happens in this case is even more weird:
viewing the article from the administrator panel, I can see the correct way (chessboard + moves + text), but the actual web page displays only the chessboard (no moves are displayed and no explanatory text)
You can view this entering as administrator, and view the blog entry named "Prova articolo" in the blog named "Accademia Blog".

I suspect there is some preference that excludes some specific tags and/or special characters.
But I can't figure it out by myself...

Any suggestions ??

Mauro
Hello,

When I tried to access http://www.corsidiscacchi.it/accademia-blog/entry/prova-articolo.html#comments , the page seems to be working fine. Am I missing anything here?

At the link you posted ( http://www.corsidiscacchi.it/accademia-blog/entry/prova-articolo.html#comments ), the article is fine (not only the chessboard is displayed but also moves + text).

However, try this:
http://www.corsidiscacchi.it/accademia-blog.html

In that case, only the chessboard is displayed and the pane on the right is empty (no moves, no text commentaries).

Hello Mauro,

I believe it's probably due to the string truncation. You should add a read more button after the content so that EasyBlog will explicitly use the intro text.
