When I make changes to a blog and I click update. The screen goes blank. The blog is updated but a post is not added to the jomsocial stream.
We have just moved the website to a new VPS server.
Hi vito Rago,

It seems you're using older version of EasyBlog, would you mind to update it to the latest version and see if the issue is still persist?

Hello,

we found the problem. It turned out that an extension was missing on our server and once it was added the problem went away.

I have another question.

In this blog https://cookingwithnonna.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=entry&id=169&Itemid=207
I have added this Pocha photo gallery: {pgslideshow id=41|width=570|height=400|delay=3000|image=O}

However the gallery does not play. The photos do not come out. Similat galleries work well in a joomla article. What do I need to do to fix this?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Vito

Hi there. We just created a test environment so that we can test the upgrade to make sure it does not interfere with the rest of the website. However, for some strange reason, the page containing Easyblog on the test website, looks fine: https://test-new.cookingwithnonna.com/Stories.html

Whereas the same page on the live website is totally corrupted: https://www.cookingwithnonna.com/Stories.html

What could have possibly happened? What can we do to fix the live website?

Best,

Vito

Hi, I just did the upgrade on the Test site: https://test-new.cookingwithnonna.com/Stories.html and it looks fine. As the Easyblog is messed up on the Live site, should I install the latest version? I guess it is in bad shape already so it cannot get any worst.

What do you suggest?

Tx,

Vito

-> Thanks for setup testing site for the us troubleshoot the gallery issue. I'll take a look for this and it is possible to provide us with you FTP access for this testing site as well?

You can add the information needed by edit your first post in the Details section or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

I still have to get the cpanel info on the test website.
As soon as I get it, I will provide it.

Hi Vito,

I've access your live site it seems it was render correctly in desktop and mobile: http://take.ms/fdhoC
It seems there is some cache, can you clear you any possible cache eg: browser, joomla

regarding the phoca gallery issue can you provide us with the FTP of your testing site instead? so I can troubleshoot it there without interrupting your live site

Sorry for the delay at responding but we have had many issues with our VPS serves which were also causing issues with Easyblog. We believe that we have resolved those and now the website is stable.
I do have a few questions about Easyblog.
If you look at this page: https://www.cookingwithnonna.com/Stories/Amalfi-coast-with-rossella-culinary-tour-2018.html

At the top you always see the bio of the author. Is there a way to turn that off?
also, when I edit a post I find it confusing that a post stays bot in the post state and draft state and when I go to edit one sometimes the changes are lost. In the past a post was always in just one state.

Also, when I edit a post, there seems no way to exit Easyblog. The Close icon in the top right corned does not work. I need to close the browser to exit Easyblog. Is that a bug?

Thanks,

Vito

Hey Vito,

Thanks for updating us on this and please find my response below:

This can be disabled under Settings > Layout > Toolbar as you can see here, http://take.ms/nzacv

Not too sure what do you mean here eh?

Hm, there is a "Back" button to exit the composer, http://take.ms/31d3v

By the way, in the next day or two we will finish the set up of out test environment and will give you access so that the can fix the gallery problem.

Also, If I add a video to a blog, How can I center it. As it is videos render on the left side of the page.

Best,

Vito

Hey Vito,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Hm, not sure what do you mean about the videos, could you please elaborate more on this please?

No problem. If I include a video in a post, I would like the video to be centered in the page of the post and I don't see how I can do that. It always renders on the left side of the screen. How can I center it?

I hope this is more clear.

Which editor are you using currently? If you are using the normal WYSIWYG editor, you need to center it yourself using the editor tools.

If you are using the built-in editor in EasyBlog, then it would actually use the fluid layout which uses the full width.

Hey Vito,

If you are using ArkEditor, then you should use ArkEditor to align the video / image EasyBlog doesn't mess around with the alignment that is set in your respective html codes based on what the editor generates.

By the way, if you require assistance of a new issue altogether, could you kindly please start a new thread on the site please?
