So I've got CompoJoom Comments all setup and integrated for the most part (except a hiccup that there's no migration script).

However, take a look at the following URL:
http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/entry/20-good-looking-loser-s-winter-2013-style-guide-accessories-shoes
http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/2013-11-25-18-56-12/entry/20-good-looking-loser-s-winter-2013-style-guide-accessories-shoes

Both show the same post except one shows the comment and one does not. The second is navigated via the Joomla menu system.

Secondly, the ComponJoom comments is the only system being used right now but I am not seeing the comment counted at all. See top of the post: 0 comments.

Thank you in advance.
Guys we are all good with the latest solution. You can mark this thread resolved. Thank you for the help!

Hello Justin,

I tried to access both urls and the comment form does seem to display correctly. Am I missing anything here?

Well I don't know how you are seeing it. I just tried again after clearing my cache and both in Chrome and Firefox. See attached screenshot:

Hello Justin,

Ah sorry for the confusions as I thought you were referring to the form. It looks like there are some errors being generated by Compojoom comments as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/RJZGWisA0DVL . You should try contacting them to check on their script.

I'm pretty sure it's not on their end. If I do the same using Joomla instead of Easy-blog then both URLs show the comments:

http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/component/content/article/55-get-ripped/120-16eat-this-you-will-lose-fat-fat-loss-diet-1?Itemid=101#!/ccomment-comment=1500 (from clicking link within CCcomment)
http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/home/test-article (from building menu item in Joomla to Joomla article)

The problem only exists when using Easyblog as the content.

Hello Justin,

Try to view the post now at the following URLs,

http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/entry/20-good-looking-loser-s-winter-2013-style-guide-accessories-shoes
http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/2013-11-25-18-56-12/entry/20-good-looking-loser-s-winter-2013-style-guide-accessories-shoes

I believe their comment system is loading comments based on the "url". Hence, when you access it with a different url, the comments are not the same. I believe they are taking the similar disqus approach. So I guess the only way you can really solve this is to enforce that all urls are the same for the entry urls. Can I know where is the link http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/2013-11-25-18-56-12/entry/20-good-looking-loser-s-winter-2013-style-guide-accessories-shoes generated from?

Sorry for the delay. That URL is generated from Joomla menu item -> EasyBlog -> Single Category Layout and then navigating to that particular blog entry.

Hello Justin,

Is there any other menu items on the site which links to EasyBlog?

Easyblog is the main component of the site so yes there are lots of menus pointing to categories and tags.

The only way that I could think right now to fix this is for you to enforce all the links to originate from the same menu id. I need the back end and FTP access to the site to check on this.

Totally going to switch gears on this. I don't know if you guys want me to start a new thread or not, but I've had a ton more success today using the Wordpress XML import directly into EasyBlog and using the built-in comment system.

The new problem is that while the comments import and show up, they parent-child relationship between them is completely gone. Each comment is treated as a parent comment even if originally it was a reply to another comment. See this post:

http://192.185.143.110/~gllgetal/index.php/entry/things-you-need-to-do-in-2014-2

Search in browser for this text:
Good topic, thanks for writing in - I feel the same way only use protein bars when traveling (or if I dont have access to a kitchen). If you aren't down with the sugar alcohols - then I'd say forget the bars..

You'll see two comments that are the same. The first one is a reply I MANUALLY entered to test if the reply system was indeed working. The second is the imported comment by the system. Note that it is NOT a reply (even though it originally was in Wordpress).

All and any help is appreciated.

Yes you can but that's a problem as the client has two sites that are both having the same problem. So I'd need to know the files that are changed so I can do the same with the sister site he has. Can you tell me what changes you will make?

Hello Justin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a Thaipusam public holiday for us here.
Actually we haven't have a exactly fix in the migrator yet because first thing is solve your client side issues in currently, and your client side already migrated everything from Wordpress (all the child comment also to be parent comment), so what we do is write a function to re-arrange the parent comment and child comment in your side using ajax.

I have tried to access in your FTP, but i getting this -> http://screencast.com/t/GlrnaZkTG5wn , it seems like the login credential is not working, please advise.

Weird try same info with password: stacktemp

I got it just fine with it. As for the current migration of Wordpress, like I say I want the correct files so I can REmigrate at some point down the road. I do not want you guys to do ANY migration work. Just fix the importer so that when a migration takes place the comments are nested.

Hello Justin,

I'm sorry that delayed of this reply,
We already fixed the Wordpress migrator, you can download my attachment file and replace in your file.
comment.php -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\tables\comment.php
view.ejax.php -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\views\migrators\view.ejax.php

When you would like to re-migrate again, you have to delete the comment and blog post (when you migrate that time the data), because if you didn't delete the blog post and comment, it will migrate again all the wordpress blog post and comment migrate to your Easyblog.

You can delete from your database table *_easyblog_comment and *_easyblog_post
After you done everything then you have to purge the history from your backend Easyblog migrator page -> http://screencast.com/t/sdRTf7ozMzdN
Hope this help.

Well it looks like it didn't work. The migrator is now just spinning and no articles are getting created.

Hello Justin,

I'm sorry that late reply to this,
That's strange, is it possible delete all your blog post and comment first when you migrated that time before the data from wordpress? So i help you migrate it.

The database has been emptied. It is still just giving the "Updating" spinning circle. It's like it gets stuck on the first post. Go ahead and try to migrate it.
