Hi,

I have problems when I try to update an existing blog article. When I log in then click on the article I want to edit, then open up the article console, I sometimes get the whirring loading wheel which then hangs, and all I can do to quit is to go back a page using the url in the browser as can't even quit.

In addition, I notice the following errors in the Chrome trouble shoot window:

GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/system/core.js 404 (Category not found)
GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/com_cjlib/fontawesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.4.0

Whenever I am on the blog pages I also notice a blue whirring circle in the url (where would normally see the favicon like the page is still loading.

How do I get rid of these errors?

MKind regards

Mel
hey Mel,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tried to edit one of your blog post in your site, but it seems like work fine for me, you can take a look of my video here : http://screencast.com/t/HukzQqksgP

GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/system/core.js 404 (Category not found)
GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/com_cjlib/fontawesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.4.0

Regarding above error, perhaps you can check on your server file is it those file is existed? Because based on the error message on browser console, when you browse your page but can't find out these file in your server.

Hi Arlex,

with the updating, it only seems to be with articles in that category and is random - happens every couple of times then goes ok then has problems again.

I have just checked and the core.js file does exist, but it is inside another folder i.e. that message is looking for

GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/system/core.js

There isn't a file named core.js in the location above, but there is a core.js in another subfolder:

GET http://www.mysite.co.uk/media/system/js/core.js

This message only appears in Easyblog so is it that a file in Easyblog is pointing to the wrong location? If so, how do I correct it?

Hey Mel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tested several times refresh your category listing page, but it only appear this warning :
http://www.yoursite.com/media/foundry/5.0/styles/font-awesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.3.0

You can take a look of my screenshot below.

Hi Arlex,

I am not sure how it fixed itself. I went into the folder where the actual core.js was and copied a version into the folder it said it was missing. |This crashed my site so I removed it and the problem disappeared???

Is the fontawesome anything to be concerned about? Is it related to Easyblog or a general issue?

Hi Arlex,

I have tracked that fontawesome error back to this file:

/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/styles/style-modules.min.css

There are some lines in there relating to the woff2

downloadable font: download failed (font-family: "FontAwesome" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:1): status=2147746065 source: http://www.mysite.com/media/foundry/5.0/styles/font-awesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.3.0 style-modules.min.css:1:139

downloadable font: download failed (font-family: "FontAwesome" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:1): status=2147746065 source: http://mysite.com/media/foundry/5.0/styles/font-awesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.3.0

Are the paths in that file correct? I don't want to tamper with it as not sure what I am doing here.

Hi Mel,

For some reason the attached file is not appearing here in our forum. Can you provide us with your FTP so we can try to manually place the file on your site?

Hi Mel,

It seems like the file fontawesome-webfont.woff2 did exist inside the /media/foundry/5.0/styles/font-awesome/fonts/ folder and it seems like there are no error that are related to this missing file now from your frontend, http://screencast.com/t/XhaztcPD9 .

Hi Ezrul,

I am still seeing the errors. I have cleared cache/browsing history. I have Windows 10 and have tried in Chrome (latest) Firefox (latest) both display errors on any pages that have easyblog components. One IE does not display errors.

Hi Mel,

I believe this issue is related with your server issue where your server does not include woff2 inside the application server mime. You can refer to the following url here under the APACHE: WOFF2 mime type, . Perhaps you can consult with your webhosting service provider regarding on this and see how it goes?
