Hi

I am having trouble installing Easyblog and the Group plugin for jomsocial.

The Easyblog file appears to upload without problems, however, when I then click on "Proceed with Installation" it fails and I get an error message: "404 component not found"

Are you able to help me with this installation please?

Also, I previously purchased the Group plugin for Jomsocial. When I installed this, it gave me the dreaded white screen.

I am also hoping that you can help me with its installation and help me getting it working in Jomsocial.

Many thanks

Steve
Sorry, I have need to update the admin access details ..... please use these details.

thanks

Steve

Hey steven,

The reason why you hitting this `"404 component not found"` is because you disable Easyblog component from your backend > Extension > manage > Easyblog component, after I enable back then I can updated Easyblog in your site.

Regarding with your Group plugin for Jomsocial issue, may i know did you download the latest version from your dashboard http://stackideas.com/dashboard and try to update in your Joomla backend and see how it goes?

Hey Steven,

You're welcome.

It seems like you provided that order reference / ID: SI150825-5670-10119 is not found in our billing list, perhaps you can provide more details regarding this like this order reference username and expired date from which year?

Looking forward of your response.

Hi

Here is a screen shot of the email I received. It was received by a co-worker and then forwarded on to me. Perhaps I am logged in with the wrong account?

Hey Steven,

Perhaps you can check for us regarding with your which email address/username used to purchased this plugin previously?

Because it would be best for us to track back your license.

Looking forward of your response.

Hi

I think I have now sorted out the plugin problem, but am concerned that the purchase is not showing on my dashboard.

I can confirm that the email of the account is webdev@mfac.edu.au

thanks

Hi

The group plugin is now displaying a blog module on the group page, but of course it is currently empty. There is also a link for creating a new blog. However, when I create a blog, there is no category available for the group in order to display the blog in the group. There is obviously something I am missing, but cant work out what it is.

Any help appreciated.

thanks

Thank you Arlex, I can now see that it is working.

However, if I create a blog from within a group, shouldn't the blog be automatically associated with the group?

At the moment, it appears that the author has to manually select this?

thanks

Sorry about bombarding you with silly questions, but I also can't work out how to truncate the blog length that appears in the blog> At the moment, it is way too long and needs to be shorter with the option to click on "continue reading" being higher up.

Thanks

Hey Steven,

Try download my attached file and replace into :
JoomlaFolder\plugins\system\groupeasyblog\groupeasyblog.php
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\jomsocial\group.posts.php

it should fix this.
