Hi SI Team

Please go here and login:

http://finalbug.net/my-profile-here

This way you can view the following post (registered users only) :

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/502-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-02

Please try and insert a Pop Up Image for the second image.

See the attachment below.

I can not do this and am wondering if this is just me or a bug.
I have got this to work before eg here:
http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/490-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-01

Blog Images are 775 Wide and the pop ups are 1280 wide.

thanks in advance

Paul

I don't really understand your issue here. When I accessed http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/502-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-02 , clicking on the second image seems to load up in a popup just fine. So what is your issue exactly?

Hi Mark

The first image is the normal blog image the second image is the pop up image.
i.e. the reason I click on the image is to see it bigger with a higher resolution.

And this is my problem I can not insert the bigger image (pop up) into the post!?!

please advise

Paul

I have completely no idea what you are talking about here Paul. The "Free Sound" image is popping up correctly. What are you trying to achieve here?

Hi SI Team

This is what I am attempting to do:

Step 1 Select Image an image that is already in Blog Post. 775 times 590. Aprox 50kb in size.
Step 2 With Image Selected go to the Image Pop Up Menu & Click change.
Step 3 Upload Larger Image. 1280 times 974. Apron 150KB in size.
Step 4 Select Larger Image once uploaded.
Step 5 Click Select
Step 6 Go to Image Pop Menu on the right and I do not see the larger Image!?!

I think I must be missing something really simple!?!

best

Hey Arlex

I have done as you requested.
The file is there where you wanted it.
And the Site is switched to development mode.

I then tried inserting the second larger image but it is not working

Please advise

Paul

ps I am going to switch off development mode for the moment.
If for any reason you can not login in or need assistance from my end I am glued to my computer for most of the day

pps I have just realised that I was in the ES Setting. Off to the EB setting now

Hey Paul,

I've tried to run the recompile script in your site, http://yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_easyblog&compile=1&minify=1§ion=composer

Then I getting this error :
This error usually appears when the server is experiencing temporary problems. Your host is already working on fixing them and there are no actions needed on your end.

Then I can't access in your site now, may i know your server is it restrict this recompile URL permission?

Hi Arlex

I also had an Error 500 about 5 minutes ago but I think things are OK again.

a) I can get to the site. Now.
b) http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/finalbug.net
Says: "It's just you. http://finalbug.net is up."
c) Siteground usually stop me from starting a "Sitedown" thread when they are working on things.
I can technically post a question "Why is my Site down?"
i.e. they are as of now not working on anything....

Please kindly try again

thanks

Paul

Hey Arlex

I hate to say this but it is not working.
Do you want to try?
The image should already be there when you go to Pop Up change.
Alternatively you can take the image attached above (in this thread) and try?

"092015-Free-Stuff-Post-Tools-Big011.jpg"

FYI I did the ultimate idiot test here:

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/490-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-01

And pulled the "Lightworks" image both directly from the post and the pop up window.

The sizes (dimensions & KBs) are different and so this definitely worked before.

I made this current Blog post:

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/502-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-02

from a template & the template was made from this:

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/490-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-01

I am going to start working on a new Blog post now and the first thing I will do is try inserting images & pop ups

I need max an hour to report back ;-)

best

Hi Arlex

That is exactly how I attempted to do this.

I am just thinking aloud here but maybe because I made a template from the first post

make-your-movie-for-free-01

& used it to to make the second post

make-your-movie-for-free-02

Let me test something briefly...

Hey Arlex

I believe that I am doing this exactly as you demonstrated:

http://finalbug.net/tmp/FreeStuff01.mp4

Tell me if you can see the above clip?
Can you confirm that I am doing this as you I should/you did?

thanks

Hey Paul,

Try take a look of my attached screenshot below.

First : I noticed your storage file already existed this photo /public_html/images/easyblog_articles/490/092015-Free-Stuff-Post-Tools-Big002.jpg (you also attached this file for me)

Second : so I trying to upload same filename image into `image pop up` section

Third : the system will detect if that uploaded image file name already existed in your site, it will append the date time into the file name.

Fourth : After click insert button, it will show correctly the image file.

Hi Arlex

I am very sorry but I really do not understand.
Are you saying that I am having problems with images that have already been uploaded?
If so I find this unlikely.
I went here and now suddenly everything is working as it should.
http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/502-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-02
I was able to insert the rest of the pop up images...

Maybe it was the recent updates?
I do not know.
Maybe we will never know?

Any way it is working now.

thanks as always

Paul
