Hello,

I have a big problem with the photos.
I explain it :

When a user post a photo (set to be visible for everybody), this photo is displayed on the stream. All the users can see this photo. BUT after a couple of minutes, or hours (I don't know exactly), the photos are not displayed anymore on the stream of other users. The user that posted the photo and the super users are the only members that can still see the photo...

Could it be due to amazon s3? But in this case why the photos are still displayed on their owners stream and on super users streams?

I have another question: I have configured amazon s3 in easysocial settings, but I think that the photos are not uploaded on amazon s3, because the bucket is still empty (see attachment). Is there something special to configure on amazon s3 website?

Thanks a lot
Hello Girolamo.

Can you try set these settings in Privacy Setting to Everyone, then tick on Check this box if you would like to reset the privacy for your items. option and click on save.

Regarding the amazon s3 issue. Can you create a new bucket without put a dot? Because amazon s3 have this issue with a bucket name that has a dot. If this issue still persist, Please provide your joomla backend, FTP, Cpanel and amazon s3 .

Hello,

I think we misunderstood concerning the first issue sorry By the way the issue concerning amazon s3 is fixed now and the cronjob is configured well normally now , thanks for that.

Nonetheless the photos published by the users before configuring the cron job and amazon s3 are not displayed to other users (it's not due to the privacy settings i thing).. Is there a way to display them again ?

For example, in the attachement you can see a user that published a photo with "visible to everybody" privacy. But this photo in fact is visible only by the super users and by the user that published it.

(I don't know if this could help, but archiving is enabled).

Hello Girolamo,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Can you re-provide the user access that cannot see the image so that we can test it directly?

Hello Ezrul,

I added the test user details , so now you can acces as a registered user.

Normally when you are not registered you could be able to see also photos published by the profile type "Talents" users because their privacy is "show to everyone".
And as you can see, there are only one album available, the one that was published by a user after I upgrated the cron job and amazons3.

Thanks for your help

Hello Ezrul,

Thank you very much it works well now

I have a last question :

I noticed that if a user posts a text on the stream, he is able to edit it.
But if he posts a text + photo he is unable to edit it (see attachements).

Is there a way to remedy this issue ?

Thanks

Hello Girolamo,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

I've checked our easysocial internally and it seems like it is a correct behavior and it is not possible to edit the status update that contain photos with the current system.
