Hey guys! Just wanted to proceed with my page, however I noticed that I can't upload pictures (?) Neither in profiles, nor in Groups, backend or frontend? I could upload images before since I already have a profile picture on my own profile. I can't finish the page with all the users (around 150) without pictures. Would be great to get help, thanks!
Subscribed. I know of a bad glitch with the image uploader, it's been around since the early days of ES 1.2. I kept putting it off considering the stacked team has been busy. Basically it has to do with template sizing that breaks the uploader! I know, sounds nuts.

Your case might be different. So that's why I'm staying tuned.

Hello Christian,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to access in your Joomla backend and FTP, it seems like i can't access

//Joomla backend
The connection has timed out

The server at xxxx is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

// FTP
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server

Please advise.

Thanks Josh Lewis heading up on this

hello Christian Mayrhofer,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have checked and tried to uploaded avatar image in your profile, it seems like the system unable to create a new folder when the user trying to upload the first image in your site, because the system need to create a new folder for the userid folder for store different user image file. check my screenshot below.
Not Found
The requested URL /media/com_easysocial/photos/6/15/32255-121697754525998-128355057212158-221995-4545734-n-jpg_large.png was not found on this server.

By the way, i also noticed that your file permission get denied when the system tried to access ...media/foundry/4.0/config/ce30db8db64f8c2aa7f45a1211146a10.js
Warning: file_put_contents(/xxx/xxx/xxx/xxxx/public_html/media/foundry/4.0/config/ce30db8db64f8c2aa7f45a1211146a10.js): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/sites/gapalumni19HAw/public_html/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 431

Can you consult with your Webhosting provider regarding this? and make sure the all the Easysocial folder/file is accessible and give system permission to create a new folder in your site. Keep us updated then when your webhosting provider responded.

Hey, thanks for your help! In the end I solved it myself simply by setting all relevant directories to Chmod777 rights with the FTP-Client. Thank you again! Christian
