Problem with events created using story form in invite-only groups

Hi SI Team,

I've earlier reported a few issues [ES1.3.30] related to creating events using story form in groups. Is there a fix planned for the same? Don't see the issues resolved in ES1.4.3.

New issue: When event created using story form in invite-only group, group members are unable to RSVP to this event. We get an error message "You do not have permission to view this event".

Appreciate if the issue of creating events in groups can be looked at holistically and resolved.

Hi Juz,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. The issue with current event mechanism is that group's event and user's event are sharing the same mechanism and it will take us a lot of time for us to separate it properly so it won't conflict between user's event and group's event. I already logged this into our codebase but unfortunately most of our developers are attending Joomla conferences in India currently and they are not able to check on the issue now.

We will keep you updated once they have already in office and hopefully we can resolve this issue once and for all. Thanks for understanding.
