Hello,
we noticed a bug when we integrate some emails inside article.
When the post is shared on linkedin and user visit the link, linkedin show the AMP version of the website and the mail are hidden because javascript is disabled :
This is the link created by linkedin :
https://www-churchillfinances-be.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.churchillfinances.be/news/churchill-finances-a-l-heure-du-coronavirus?format=amp
If you visit with mobile you can see the problem there :
https://www.screencast.com/t/Ru2KGAY29dra
If you visit the normal version of the website you can see the email :
https://www.churchillfinances.be/news/churchill-finances-a-l-heure-du-coronavirus
The email adress are showed.
I don't have any email protection enabled, i tried to disable AMP but the cache of google keep the amp version
Regards,
Olivier
Hi Olivier,

It seems like you are requesting support for https://www.churchillfinances.be but your licensed domain is http://btfl.org/.

The club bundle allows you to have 2 licensed domains. Should you require support for this domain, you may add https://www.churchillfinances.be into your list of licensed domains under your club bundle license.

Once you have added your domain to your license, can you provide us your backend access so we can investigate?

Hi,
No offense but it's not some help i need, i only need you fix a bug on your product.
If you do it, it's good, if not : see with some other users who will have the problem too.
no worry for me, i disabled the AMP support on your product and visited linkedin link check to refresh the cache.
After thaht the problem was solved.
Have a nice day.

Hello Olivier,

The reason that my colleague requested you to enter the domain is because we cannot replicate this issue locally. Please review my screen shot here, https://take.ms/L9dBs

We are more than happy to assist you with this and you just need to add the domain to your license. I strongly suggest that you leave AMP enabled and let us assist you in troubleshooting this. You can assign 2 domains on your club license and I think you should add the domain

Hi,
on normal browser it works, this is when you share the post on Linkedin.
Linkedin opens the post in AMP mode if it finds an AMP version AND in its own browser, than the javascript is disabled and you obtain the problem.

Olivier

Hello Olivier,

Strange because I have tested this with a local instance with AMP and the link works perfectly fine. This has nothing to do with LinkedIn.

If you want me to check on your site for you, please assign your domain to your EasyBlog license and I will be more than happy to check. I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with EasyBlog because if it is, my local instance would have the same problem too.

I don't need you to check for me, like i said the problem is with Linkedin apps on mobile and AMP version of an article using EasyBlog.
When you disable the AMP support it works perfectly.
Environnement : Mobile - Linkedin Apps - AMP enabled on the website using Easyblog.
Share a post on Linkedin Apps, check your post inside the Linkedin apps : email show the error message.
A local instance won't work because IT'S only when you share a post on linkedin apps and when the AMP support is enabled :
https://www.screencast.com/t/8eUxBSrFDm
On the video you can see on MOBILE apps of Linkedin it loads the AMP version (when Linkedin find it) and than the problem appears.
On my side, i'm not interested to use AMP version so disabling them won't be a problem.
But perhaps some other customers will be interested by a resolution of this problem.
Thanks,
Olivier

I have tested this locally and I can confirm this issue is NOT related to EasyBlog.

1. Disable Content - Email Cloaking plugin. AMP result = https://take.ms/nIq9W

2. Enable Content - Email Cloaking plugin. AMP result = https://take.ms/87gnA

I hope that you please stop putting the blame on EasyBlog before finding out the root cause.

The link https://www-churchillfinances-be.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.churchillfinances.be/news/churchill-finances-a-l-heure-du-coronavirus?format=amp is an AMP link.

Can you try to re-enable AMP and disable the E-mail Cloaking content plugin (This plugin is enabled by default in Joomla). Then, try to access https://www.churchillfinances.be/news/churchill-finances-a-l-heure-du-coronavirus?format=amp

E-mail cloaking is enabled on your site. Please check the source code of your page, https://take.ms/m6CA8
