Problem while trying to migrate Joomla 2.5 to 3

Today try to migrate joomla 2.5 to 3, I did the following instructions:

After making these changes, my site went blank.

Do not want to cause a misunderstanding when creating this post in Stackideas.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Could you can contact your hosting provider to help us to get the permission to edit your configuration.php file, so we can see what is that error caused out this blank page problem. Because we getting this error "Permission denied", please advise.
