Problem updating to latest version in Joomla 2.5

Hello,

When I try up upgrade an existing EasyDiscuss installation in a Joomla 2.5 website I get the following error:
WARNING: Please install the latest patch 3.0.8598 (Bug: Attachments folder will be deleted if perform uninstallation prior of this patch), then only install EasyDiscuss 3.1.

Our current EasyDiscuss version is 3.0.8270 and the zipfile I am trying to install is com_easydiscuss_community_3.2.9744.zip.

What's the cause and the solution please?

Hey Paul,

There was a problem with the attachments folder in the past of easydiscuss and to make sure everything is working correctly you first need to install the named version 3.0.8598.

After that you can install the latest 3.1. you can find this older version that needs to be installed first in the archive section at http://stackideas.com/downloads/archives/easydiscuss
