I attempted to uninstall a 3rd-party app (JBolo) in two different ways. First, directly from the ES Applications tab in the back-end. Second, after first uninstalling the related 3rd-party component from the Joomla back-end. Each time I received the following error when attempting to uninstall the app from the ES Applications tab:

"Sorry, but you are not allowed to delete a core application"

Can 3rd-party apps declare themselves as "Core"? What is the procedure for uninstalling a 3rd-party app when it is apparently identified as "Core"?
Hello Eileen,

Yes, 3rd party apps can define their apps as core because we offer this flexibility to them. I think you need to get the guys over at Techjoomla to manually remove them for you and also request them to not set it at core. I don't really know what's the reason for them to set it as core though.
