Hello,

I did have a problem to have the right thumbnail.

If you click on this link:

http://www.jacquesgauthier.com/blog/entry/2-avril-mort-de-jean-paul-ii.html

We obtain the header image of the site and not the image of the pope in this page.

I did test the debugger of facebook and all seem ok...

Thank you for your help.

Andre
Hello Andre,

I am sorry, but if I understand you correctly, your facebook autoposting doesn't use "pope" image in the blog but instead use the header image of the site.

You can configure your blog post to have blog image. So that facebook autoposting will use blog image for autoposting rather than it find the first image by itself and post it in the facebook.

If this is not the issue, please do explain more.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hello,

Yes. It's really the issue !

Can you tell me how I can configure it to obtain the blog picture...

I did return in the backend and I can see the parameter to change.

Congratulation for the quality of the software

Thanks

Hello Andre,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have check your site and it seems like your blog doesn't have blog image. The facebook share button behaviour is it will search image of the entire site. If the site have a blog image, it will take that image to be shared. If not, facebook share button will search image from the site from <head> until <footer> until it find the first image. In your case, it found the site header as the first image. Another issue is facebook cache. You can try check the facebook cache from : https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug .

One solution is every blog post, you need to have a blog image. So that, facebook share doesn't need to crawl your site to find the image.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hello Modh,

Finally, with a better information about parameters for the facebook app.

I did succeed to create a fonctionnal app.

After that, I did use the debug tools on facebook developpers...

I did see that my client use image too small and the image must be 200px x 200px to work with the recommend button...

Now, all is working... Thank you very much... My client will be very happy!!!
