Hi there,

I uploaded images in order to add them in an entry. If I upload vertical form image, it inserted in entry but the image size is not correct and right side of the image became black color.
Interestingly, if I upload an image via URL the problem doesn't happen.

P.S.
Seems that the problem happen when system upload to sever. And I found same problem Demo site too(http://easyblog.stackideas.com/administrator/).
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Can you please upload the image that you are trying to upload here so that I can test this out?

Dear Mark,

Thank you for response.

Yes, I attached images. Please examine them to upload to current demo site.

Well, meanwhile I found some considerable rule when the problem happen or not. Seems that if the image size is over around 1mb, the problem occur. But if a file is such small size file(100kb for example) problem doesn't happen.
I already made entry at demo site with title "test entry"(but not published. you have to login to see it). Please check it.

Thank you in advance!

P.S.
I found funny phenomenon here. I mean I attached images on this response, but all of they are vertical images but big size data images are turned to horizontal form. it happened with my system too. It happened sometimes when I try modify an image at entry writing page.

Hi Noritake,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

I just tested this locally and it seems like the image is somehow become horizontal instead of vertical for the last two image that you have provided and there is no way for easyblog to rotate the image to vertical currently. I will forward this to our developers so and see if they can add some sort of settings to rotate the image uploaded from media manager and image block.

Thanks for understanding.

Hey Noritake,

Thanks for the heads up on this. We have already logged this issue in our internal issue tracker and this has something to do with the "exif" info and we need to actually read the exif info to determine the mode of the photo (whether it's landscape / portrait). We'll apply this fix in the next release of EasyBlog

However, do take note that this can only work if exif is available on the server though.
