I have set up this kind of url
Category Based
http://yoursite.com/menu/view/category/title

only that in my site url of article of EasyBlog out so:
http://www.mysite.it/entry/eventi/il-mio-webmarketing-festival

how can I not bring up "entry "in the url?

thanks a lot

stefano
Hey Stefano,

Unfortunately right now there is no way to exclude the /entry/ portion from the URL. The only way is to use simple url format if you need to exclude the /entry/ word.

If you use simple urls, the category will not be prepended into the url. If your home menu item is EasyBlog, the URL would look like site.com/post-title

It is not possible to achieve this. If you want to have /category/ in the URL, you MUST have the /entry/ portion otherwise EasyBlog wouldn't know which view you are trying to access.

from there I think is a joke, in the previous version of EasyBlog was possible. not now?
EasyBlog is the best extension to make a blog, there is no other extension beautiful and complete as yours, I do not believe that such an important thing you can do, at seo is essential to do this kind of url

If you are an expert in SEO, you should know that having multiple urls to access blog posts would lead into being penalized by Google. In earlier versions of EasyBlog it was achieve-able but that resulted into many ways of accessing the blog post and eventually caused Google to render these items as duplicates.

So the question is, do you prefer to have nice urls like how you want it to be and getting penalized by Google?

Of course I do not want to be penalized by Google but it seems to me the least, a component beautiful and powerful as yours, you can decide the url and have, category / post does not seem to ask for things so complicated

hey stefano,

I've checked in your site menu structure, if you would like to achieve this URL format http://yoursiteName.com/category/alias-post , you have to set your `Easyblog (Post) frontpage as your default homepage.

Then all the single categories layout do not set to parent with this `Easyblog (Post) frontpage` menu item and make it single menu item.

So it should appear as you expected that URL format. Hope this will helps.
