Good afternoon, I would like to ask the following questions regarding the easydiscuss:
I have a number of profiles created (moderators, users and others). There are several other private and public categories (categories by setting the permissions menu) the question is: Within a category, as a private post can do and see and respond to the moderators and the author of the post ??? when we set up a post as private only seen by moderators and never seen by the author of the post.
Not if I explained correctly. Thank you.
Hey there,

Hm, I am not really sure if I understand you here. The permissions in the category is dependent on the user group. If the user is under the specific user group in Joomla, you need to ensure that the user group has access to view discussions from the particular category.

Good morning, the question at issue is that the author of a post, can not read their own private post once done. It is logical that the creator has enabled the post to private post and then not be able to read it and can only do the moderators.
Not if I have explained clearly.
Thanks and regards

Hi there,

Unfortunately it is not possible to achieve this quickly with the current system of easydiscuss as it require a lot of modification in order to make it happen. We will surely fix this behavior in the next major release of easydiscuss so that owner of the post will be able to view his own post regardless if the category is choose is viewable or not.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Has this been fixed? I just tried this but it seems that when a user creates a private post he is not able to see his own post until a moderator responds ?

I just tested on my locally, it seems work fine.

This is how i test, first I will tick that option as private post (screenshot : http://take.ms/fyNYn ), after I submit this private post, I can able to check it on my post page, you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/j7EPR

If the issue still persists, perhaps you can start a new thread so we can able to check on this?
