Just got my first EasyDiscuss "Email Digest" - Fantastic feature!

I noticed though it includes the email of those who posted... I run a community forum where everyone is happy to contribute and share within the forum, but personal emails don't show anywhere (hopefully!)

Isn't it a privacy security issue to have them in these digests? Couldn't the link just go to the member's profile on the site?

(My forum is members only, but I suspect this is built as well for guest posters who aren't members - in those cases perhaps their emails do show on the site if they provide them - again though, wouldn't it be better just to link through to the post in question, and not provide the personal email directly?)
Hey Andy. Yes it may be a privacy issue for certain sites. We can remove it from the default digest email template.

Hi Andy,

The email can be removed by template overriding the email template file for digest emails.

Thanks. Do you think it presents a privacy issue though which might warrant it being removed? Got to be very careful with sharing email addresses these days!

Thanks! Glad you agree. Yes it only seems to be in the 'new post' part of the digest - not the 'reply' or 'comment' ones.

Hi there,

You are most welcome. We had logged this into our issue tracker already.
