I am wondering if you have any idea what could be causing my Print links below the EasyBlog toolbar and my RSS icon in the EasyBlog toolbar to have stopped working. They now give 500 errors.

Here is an example of a page with the problem (I think all the pages now have this problem, or at least most of them):

Could you please look at a page and let me know if anything jumps out at you?

https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/how-industries-keep-you-coming-back-for-more

My host said it was caused by the template but I switched the template and that did not fix anything. These are the urls that are not resolving in case this helps. Maybe they are not formed properly?

https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/how-industries-keep-you-coming-back-for-more?tmpl=component&print=1&format=print

Interestingly enough I did find some pages with links in them that did work properly. Here is an example:

https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/take-the-new-year-health-challenge

Working link:
https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/take-the-new-year-health-challenge?tmpl=component&print=1&format=print

Do you think we might be running up against a characters limitation built into Joomla? Or possibly something built into EasyBlog?

I sure would like to resolve this. :-) Google Webmaster Tools sent me a notification about all the broken links that have appeared on the site.

Any ideas you have will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sean Carney,

Seems like there is some issue where if there got plugin triggered content such as (loadmodule and loadposition) it will unable to load renderer class. This is similar with the Rssfeed view that we've encountered before
I've done some fix in this file:
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/entry/default.print.php
and the print view shows fine now
Please give it a try.

Thank you so much,

I am greatly relieved. The print functionality is working now.

I see that the RSS feed links are still broken. I am hoping you have a similar trick for them.

You will need to be logged in to a the site to see the RSS link. I will add a picture where it is highlighted in red because I am using thee Chrome Link Checker Addon to find broken links on pages.

This is again at the page:

Thank you so much for finding this.

Hi Sean Carney,

I've tried to subscribe via RSS in your site and I'm hitting this error:

0 - Class 'RLProtect' not found

Seems like System - Regular Labs - Simple User Notes caused the issue, where I've temporarily rename the System - Regular Labs - Simple User Notes plugin folder and the RSS feed shows perfectly fine

Maybe the Simple User Notes caused the problem with the print as well? That would be my guess now.

At this point I would be happy to just uninstall the Simple User Notes.

Do you think I can uninstall them with the folder renamed or should I put the name back on the folder and then uninstall it?

Thank you so much for finding this.

Can you tell me where you found the folder whose name you changed? Is it still changed? What did you change it to? What did you change it from? I would like to change the name back and then remove the Simple User Notes.

Hello Sean,

You should rename the folder first and only then uninstall it to be safe

I would do that if I knew the following:

The location and name of the folder now.

The name I need to change the folder back to. :-)

Thanks for replying. I was pretty sure that was the right answer. :-)

Thanks. I was afraid it may not have been named back only because the uninstall process was hanging just now as I was trying to uninstall it using the Regular Labs Extension Manager.

However I have refreshed the page and the software is no longer listed in their list so I am assuming the uninstall was successful.

Also, I see the RSS links are working now. That will do wonders to reduce about a thousand broken links from my site. :-)

Thanks for everything.
