Hi there,

if a blogger starts a new post (and his blog category is not the primary) he has to choose the right category on the right side...

For example: User stackideas is logged on but the primary category is M+M Australia 2016.
Now, if he creates a new post, this one will be created under M+M and not in his own blog...

Is it possible to automaticly change the active category to his last used category?

kind regards
Heiner
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holidays for us here.

May i know how to you determine which categories is under which blogger?

G'day Arlex,

yes you can.

I create a user in Joomla with the right's: public, registered, author, editor, publisher and super user (maybe i have to change that in the future)

Example: @anna

After this i create a category and select this user as the author.

Example: M+M Australia 2016

That's all I do (as i can remember )

best regards
Heiner

Hey Heiner,

Can you check my attached screenshot below, is it you mean when you assign the author e.g. @anna into this category right?

If yes, actually the author field from the category mean who created that category instead of point to this author default category.

Is it possible to automaticly change the active category to his last used category?

unfortunately currently that was not possible to achieve this.

Hi Arlex,
yes that's what i mean with author

But how can i fix this problem (see picture)? Logged on with stackideas (for example) but the primary category is set to M+M Australia 2016.....
So if I log in with heiner I also get M+M Australia 2016 as default (primary) category and if i just click on the "create a new post" icon this post is placed in her blog ;(

Best regards
Heiner

Hi Heinz-Erich Broecker,

Actually this is not a bug, where the author in a category setting is not mean it is default category for that user. It is actually show the creator of the category. Unfortunately, there is no setting to make a different default/primary category for a certain user currently.

Thanks for understanding

G'day Fadhli,

that's more than disappointing ;(

Our plan is to grow up quickly with the new blog-server and one of the major issue is exactly this.

I/We try to ensure that there's no way to do bad/wrong things in the blog and like to have it easy doing.

So, if there's no way to fix this bug/feature we can't use your software for a big blog-server.

Really?

Best regards.
Heiner
