for us it would be nice to have this feature too.

And i think it would be nice too that we have a predefined categorie for an author or a team-blog.

We have about more than 40 nested categories but most of our authors (> 40) are assigned less than 3 categories.
So when they want write a post it is very comfortable to show them only these categories assigned to them.

Now they have to click through the categorie list. And this take a longer time.
Could you please integrate such a function for the future?

It would be nice to have a predefined category for an author or a teamblog. And the other assigned categories should also be displayed.
This prevent our users to write in a wrong categorie.
