Hey Sheldon,

The preview post only work if you login in your frontpage is because when you click preview button from backend, it actually do a redirection in your frontpage and preview the post.

Since you haven't login in your frontpage yet, so the system will throw the error as you mentioned in earlier, because guest user always do not have permission to preview post in frontend.
