Preformatted HTML not encoded

Preformatted HTML content in a post is not being encoded when the post is saved to the database.

This results in the code displaying as html in the post, not as preformatted code.

In addition to this, when an article that does contain encoded preformatted code is saved, the encoded html is converted to normal html.

The example code below works on this forum, but not here (Easy Discuss 3.1.8683, Joomla 1.5) - http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/index

Hi,

We are having the same issue.

This is especially a problem when using a syntax highlighter when posting code to be viewed in a discussion. At the moment anything within the pre tag is being converted to HTML on save. Can you either give us a fix or show us where this is happening in the code so we can implement our own workaround.

Hello Paul,

I'm sorry but this post is a very old post and the fix might not working anymore in the current system. It is best for you if you can create a new thread and elaborate more about your issue so that we can help you solve it.
