This is a pre-sales question.

I'm just wondering if it's a resource hog? I don't mean the terms of poor performance, I'm sure it well written, I mean it in a way that will I be able to run a small community without any CPU/Ram issues?

The only part of the bundle that I don't intend to use is the wall or activity area. I'm assuming I can turn this off? Anything else I can do to reduce server strain by adjusting settings?

I just don't have the cash for a VPS ATM.
