I will allow support to answer more accurately, but as a customer who uses their products, I can tell you that they use joomla search plugins, so you can use any ajax search component you want. I personally strongly recommend using Offlajns Universal Live Ajax Search, it is by far the best on the market and very well priced... outstanding support, the team at Offlajn usually are able to customize the search to work exactly the way you want it and integrate it exactly the way you want it. That said if you want a free alternative, RocketTheme offer a free Ajax search component, I don't find it near as good though.

Hm, if you don't mind me asking, what's ATS? Never really heard of it before. As for your inquiries, please find the responses below:

A) AJAX search query results. much like in http://www.yootheme.com/support

Unfortunately we do not have the ability to search via AJAX currently

B) TAG search included in search result.

Unfortunately right now the search results only include discussions and replies.

C) Any way to search as for specific custom field (generally have power over the search engine). EX:
I would like to be able to have some Discussion in ENGLISH and some in FRENCH which wouldn't be directly seen by an english customer.

This is actually not possible right now because in EasyDiscuss we do not actually store the language type per post but we may support this in the future though but I can't really tell you when exactly

Would it be difficult to implement Tag search ?

It shouldn't be that difficult at all to search for tags but it's more about how would the search result look like considering that search results displays discussions in a discussion item format?

For the tag, maybe having an option, as to choose a category, to choose tag (or a checkbox to include tag). The result would look exactly the same except that they would all have the tag requested as part of their result.

Could request for search result:
a) content
b) tag
c) content & tag

I have check your option. Wouldn't work to reproduce Yootheme's support version since the AJAX search is made in a div under the search input. We would need to have the ajax div return to update the div content. Actually this is quite similar to the Suggestion option already present, except that the AJAX answers is update threw each keyboard hit like after length > 3. Not sure, with what exist already, that it wouldn't be too complicated. with JQUERY this isn't quite complicated... since its just a post request throught an input with a div update.

It certainly seems like there is great use for tag search, for instance we use EasyDiscuss as a FAQ Discussions board and so assigning relevant tags that can be searched makes a lot of sense when you searching for an FAQ item that does not contain the specific words in the title or content but is described in an alternate way. e.g "Its peeling off" can be tagged with flaking, chipping, breaking, tearing as they would all relate to the same FAQ / Discussion.

This sort of search facility would be invaluable to our usage of EasyDiscuss.

If "Looking for something in search bar", throws ajax results then it would be great, anyway to achieve this?
