We are now starting to post in multilanguage english and german.
As our posts do contain in the majority part of the cases high number of pictures per post, we are always using the block 'gallery'.
In the edit mode for the block 'gallery' you can then upload multiple images in the section to create the gallery and all pictures are being uploaded in batch mode.

We are starting with post in english and set the language. Since this is the first post, we cannot use the function 'associations' to select the german post which will be created only afterwards in second step.

Our Issue:
After posting our english post, we now want to submit the german post with same pictures. But there is no option to select the same pictures for the gallery we have already uploaded for the english version of the post.

The only option I have is to select pictures from the Media Manager one by one and they will then be presented in the post listed in series. This is not what we want but only in a gallery as we cannot present 20, 30 or more pictures one by one.

That means the workaround is to create from scratch the german post with new gallery and duplicate picture upload. This is introducing problems with space as we have redundant data and double data volume.

Is there really no other options ?
Perhaps you can try use the duplicate feature from backend blog listing page, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this will help.

Hello Arlex,
thanks for the fast reply and hint. Yes this is working fine and I just need to overwrite the header and text with different language and then set different language in the Post Properties.
However I am a little bit concerned about this because copy process means that a new post is being created and saved not as a draft but as a real post. Does this mean that the copy post will be autopublished on Facebook when this it is enabled ? If this is the case, it is not ideal since we do not want to have a duplicate entry in Facebook.

Otherwise I am wondering whether we could set Facebook autopublishing only for one language and avoid duplicate posts in Facebook for every language.

Thanks and regards
Markus

Hey Markus,

You're welcome.

When you copies your existing blog post from backend, it will not autopost to your Facebook page unless when you editing the post and update it.

Unfortunately we do not have an option to allow Facebook autopost only for one language in current system.

By the way, I would like suggest you disable those Facebook autopost setting before you editing other blog post.
