We have a case where a post was created on June 6, 2021, but the publish date was set to May 28, 2021. This was done on purpose. When the blog is displayed, the published date is used as expected. The issue is with the "(Posts) Grid Layout" menu item. The showcase post is displaying either the creation or last modified date and not the published date. We need it to display the published date. Is there something I can do to fix this? This is on a development server, so it is not yet available for outside access. I have attached a couple of screen shots to show what I am describing. Thank you for your help.
Hey there,

It seems that 'Post Date Source' setting is missing from the Grid layout menu item.

I will log this into our issue tracker.

For a temporary fix, you can download and paste the attached default.php at JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/grid/default.php and see how it goes.

I finally got a chance to try replacing default.php in /joomla_folder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/grid with the default.php file you attached. I did not see any noticeable differnece in the grid display or the Grid Layout menu item. It is still displaying the created or modified date and not the published date. Let me know if there is anything else we can try.

Have you updated your EasyBlog to the latest version?

Once you updated, you should able to see 'Post Date Source' setting on both tabs as shown in the screenshot. https://take.ms/enQDK

Can you give it a try and see how it goes?

I applied the EasyBlog update, version 5.4.12, and it had the Post Date Source fields in the Showcase and Grid tabs. I change both to "Publishing Date," but the post in the grid still shows the created date. See the screenshots attached.

I think this is happening because the post was created on June 2nd, but the author set the publishing date to May 28th, The post should have been created and published on 5/28, but the author was out, and that is why she post dated the publishing date.

Can you please include your backend and FTP access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so that we can have a better check of it?
