Hello,
When I try to post a blog post on facebook with the button in the list of posts, it does not work. There is no error, but the button stays white and the post does not appear on the facebook page.
I hope you can help!
Best

Hello Ineke,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? You may store your site access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so you don't have to provide these information all the time

Also, could you also please include the Facebook account so that we can try to check the App which you have created on Facebook as well?

Hello Mark,
Thank you for your quick reply. I stored the website information. Wonderful, that saves a lot of work for the future! I also added the facebook account. It's my clients so I trust on your discretion.
Additional: I never got the autoposting working, but it did work using the button in de post-list.
Thanks!
Ineke

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

It seems like Facebook required to verify the current login whether that is your client or not, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Perhaps you can add my Facebook id into your Facebook app "user roles" section so I can able to check your Facebook app current configuration whether setup correctly or not.

My Facebook id : 1239490531

Before you assign my Facebook id into your Facebook app, perhaps you can check on our documentation here and see is it you configure correctly with your current setting?

Hello,
I'm surfacing again after a proper flu.
In the meantime I checked the setting of the app, and it appears I missed a step. I did not get as far as applying the extra submissions. And now that I'm trying I do not know what to fill out in the notes sections in order to complete the submission. The instructions only tell me to complete the app submissions. I hope you can help?
I added the facebook id of Arlex to the Facebook account as e developer. (it says it's pending)
Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

I've checked on your Facebook app configuration page, it seems like everything is seems fine.

But I have a few question :

1. May i know which Facebook page you trying to autopost to?
2. That Facebook page is it created by this Facebook app 'Blog' owner?
3. I noticed you have submit some of the user permission to Facebook for review, may i know your site blogger is it want to autopost to their Facebook profile page? Or only Facebook page?
If only Facebook page, you actually no need to submit any Facebook user permission from your app.

Hi Arlex,
The facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/rieke.leenders
And yes, The facebook page and the website where the blog is on, are of the same owner. And I created the app logged in with her own credentials.
The blogs are only going to be published on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rieke.leenders.
So, I can withdraw the submission then? I had not completed it as yet because I didn't know how.

On 31th of March I managed to post the last blog on facebook using the button in de post-list at the backend. (see screenshot atttached) That doesn't work anymore. Autoposting never worked. I'm trying to post the blog 'Ben ik een gecultiveerd persoon?'

Best regards,
Ineke

Hi Arlex,
Ik revoked and tried to sign in again, but when I click the "sign in with facebook button" I get an error:

"URL geblokkeerd: Deze doorverwijzing is mislukt, omdat de URI van de omleiding niet aan de whitelist in de Client OAuth-instellingen van de app is toegevoegd. Zorg ervoor dat Client- en Web OAuth-aanmelding aan staan en voeg al je app-domeinen toe als geldige OAuth Redirect-URI's."

Roughly translated:
"URL blocked: This referral failed because the URI of the redirection was not added to the whitelist in the Client OAuth-settings of the app. Make sure that the Client- and Web OAuth-registration are switched on and add all you app-domains as valid OAuth Redirect-URI's."

I'm afraid that as far as I'm concerned, this might as well be written in Greek, because I really don't understand what this means???

I really hope it makes sense to you?

Hi Arlex,
Thank you, the sharing button works and turns blue, but unfortunately, I don't see the blog appearing at https://www.facebook.com/rieke.leenders
I used the facebook share button in the list of posts in the backend to share "De dienstbare Russische vrouw".

Then I switched off "Plaats als uw Facebook pagina", and tried to share another blog ('Ben ik een gecultiveerd persoon?'). This one did appear on the facebook page, but the button in the list of posts remains white.

Help?

Best,
Ineke

It seems work fine for me, if I enabled autopost Facebook page setting from your backend, you can check my attached screenshot below.

May i know which user account you login from your backend?

Hi Arlex,
Thank you. I'm now trying to share "De dienstbare Russische vrouw". Is is marked as shared, but it is not on the facebook page.
I tried again, but nothing happens.
I'm logged in as "adminruscol", a super user account.
I hope you can solve the mystery...
Best
Ineke
PS: I removed the blog you just posted from the facebook page, as it was there twice.

It seems like this blog post "De dienstbare Russische vrouw" you already shared on your Facebook page, so it will not send again when you click "Facebook share icon" from backend.

You can check my attached screenshot below.

Hi Arlex,
I think now I know why I got confused. The blogs are posted on the facebook page "Utrechtse Antropologie".
I'm going to check with my client whether that is okay, or if she wants to have them posted on her personal timeline as well. (I guess in that case I'll have to do the other submissions as well?)
Sorry about the confusion and thank you for your help!
Best,
Ineke

It okay.

Yes, you have to submit those Facebook user permission from your Facebook app, so your site blogger can able to autopost to their user profile page as well.

Hi Arlex,
The story continues. My client does not want the blogs on the "Utrecht antropologie" page, but ONLY on her personal profile page (in the timeline). So, now I added the three necessary submissions, but I really do not know what to fill in in the notes. It's also not explained in the documentation. Can you please help?
Best,
Ineke

Regarding this, I can guide you but unfortunately I can't help much you here is because those required thing you have to do it by yourself e.g. Facebook want you insert your site privacy page URL and upload one of the icon.

Once you done this, i will continue to guide you.

Yeah, i think the reason why they required these kind of thing is because previously quite a lot of user abuse Facebook app in different kind of purpose on their own site.

So now have to submit those user permission for review and they required to explain how to use it on their site.

Alright, keep us updated once you have done.
