Can you help me understand this one.

I used my Super Admin account to post on a user's profile page.

The stream URL is mysite.com /stream/item/90401

...what's odd is I can't find this post other than via the URL (I got the ID ref from the EasySocial backend Activity Streams section)

When I look on the Super Admin profile timeline, my overall home page stream, and the lady whose profile I posed this on mysite.com /profile/3792 - the post is nowhere to be seen!

In the backed I used to have the Settings > Activity Stream setting for "Exclude Site Admin's Stream from appearing" turned on, but I turned that off before I made the stream post I'm asking about here.

Odd. Any ideas? Thanks!
On doing some testing I think it's specific to trying to post a link on a timeline.

I just did a basic text post on a user timeline and that worked as expected... but then I tried the same scenario as in the stream item I reported above.. which was to go to a user timeline and then I did 'Share Link' and added a link to a page on my own site (with a 'mood' added too) - again the stream item has vanished!

This time I can craft the URL as mysite.com /stream/item/90416 - but then this post can't be found anywhere other than this direct URL link.

That was known issue, I already applied some fix into your site under this file /public_html/administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/stream.php , it should work fine now.
