Hi,

We've selected the following options for groups:

1) Posting Permissions: Uncheck both options - 1) Allow admins to post into this group, and 2) Allow group members to post into this group.

2) Event Creation: Check the owner box (only allow group owners to create events).

3) Post Moderation = Yes.

Using above options, group admin created an event in the "invite only group". However, when the group owner logged-in from "front-end", there was no notification about events "Pending Moderation". This is only seen when logging from Joomla "back-end". Refer screenshot attachment.

Question:

1) Is Post Moderation feature available from "front-end", or only Joomla "back-end"? How can we enable "front-end" post moderation, without having to give group admins access to Joomla backend?

2) Once group admin/ superuser approves the event from Joomla backend, no automatic notification sent in the group or to group members. Group members cannot view the event listed event within the group activity stream and are not notified about the event. Is there any action the event owner needs to take once the event has been approved by admin?

Appreciate clarification.

Cheers!
Hi Juz,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
1) Is Post Moderation feature available from "front-end", or only Joomla "back-end"? How can we enable "front-end" post moderation, without having to give group admins access to Joomla backend?

Sorry for confusing for the "Post moderation" custom field ( screenshot : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-07_1357.png ), this feature actually is when the user trying to post a stream in the group, the stream will under moderation, so the admin review the stream and approve the stream from frontend. Check my screenshot below.

But unfortunately the admin can approve/reject from the event notification or backend only if the event under moderation.

2) Once group admin/ superuser approves the event from Joomla backend, no automatic notification sent in the group or to group members. Group members cannot view the event listed event within the group activity stream and are not notified about the event. Is there any action the event owner needs to take once the event has been approved by admin?

The reason why that is no any automatic notification send to group members is because the admin create an event under "invite only group" type of group, so this event automatically stored in this event type "invite only event" type (screenshot : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-07_1412.png), in other word, this event is very private, so it will not notify all the members when this event published/approval.

To fix this, you needed this "Member Transfer Type" custom field from the event, check my "memberTransferType" screenshot below.
When the admin create an event, need to set this "Member Transfer Type" to INVITE, so after this event get published/approval, so all the group members will automatically get invited.

Hope this explanation clear for you.

Hello Jan,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Currently we do not have any plan to add notification system for post moderation yet. Perhaps you can request your idea in our easysocial voice page, http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial so that other people can vote for it.
