I just renewed my subscription and installed the latest version - now I have "Post is under moderation" on every item in the news feed. I tried to find information on this in the documentation (hard as I couldn't find a "search" as part of the documentation?!) I see lots of threads about this but the first few I read through always seemed to have the reply person being surprised or not knowing it as a bug? Please make it clear how to fix this and what it is all about. Please also add to documentation pages and add a search to them!

As far as I can see I just paid to upgrade from something that was working to something that has a huge bug?!
Hi Andrew,

It might due to your site cache that are caching easysocial themes previously before the update. Can you pass me your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you to fix this issue?

I read through a lot of the posts on this topic and it does seem that each time you ask for back end access to take a look so I wonder if it can possibly be a different problem in each case? I have also seen that the response from users seems to be that clearing the cache fixes the issue and once I worked out that meant using the "clear cache" on EasySocial admin page rather than Joomla cache I also managed to get rid of the messages, so I wonder if you should just clear the ES cache as a matter of default when someone does an install / upgrade as this seems to be the solution?

I really would like to know though what this "moderation" is all about as I can find no information about it. It might be a handy thing to use sometimes?

Hi Andrew,

Almost 90% of the case is due to the cache issue while the rest is due to theme file issue or 3rd party plugin issue. Hence just to be sure if it always safer to check it directly on your site.

I really would like to know though what this "moderation" is all about as I can find no information about it. It might be a handy thing to use sometimes?

This is actually a new feature for group story post where group admin has the ability to moderate group members story post inside the group and publish or reject it accordingly. You need to enable this from backend > easysocial > group > categories > choose the category > custom field > post moderation field. Take a look at my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/c0LRJUoi85 .

Thanks - still feel that with 90% of the time it being a cache thing wouldn't hurt to flush that as part of the update process :-)

I have said this elsewhere but will repeat here, please, please, please do put a search function on to the documentation pages. It's virtually impossible to find things such as this new feature otherwise!

Thanks for the heads up on this Andrew, we're implementing Google Search on our documentation area.
