I have gone back to Weeblr and they give me this answer:
URLs created by sh404SEF are not the same as those created by Joomla. Joomla uses menu items and structure to create URLs. sh404SEF only relies on articles items and categories to avoid duplicate content issues common with Joomla.
These entry are EasyBlog one, which normally comes with a plugin for sh404SEF. I can't say if it is the case today with current EasyBlog versions, you would to talk to them about that. I see that there are multiple EasyBlog URLs configuration options (add id, URL structure, etc), have you tried working with that, it's definitely the first step. sh404SEF is only recording the URL EasyBlog creates here.
Also I have a problem with the 404 pages, they are redirecting to the main page or to the category
https://www.offirent.be/this-is-a-404page
https://www.offirent.be/diensten/this-is-a-404page
This is not done by sh404SEF. We do not do anything as bad as redirecting 404s. I suspect the most likely reason here is that you enabled both:
- 301 redirect from Joomla SEF to sh404SEF
- 301 redirect from non-sef to sh404SEF
These options are off by default and should stay off. By enabling that first option, you tell sh404SEF to ask the Joomla router to look at, for instance, /diensten/this-is-a-404page and ask Joomla if it knows that URL. Unfortunately, the Joomla router will always answer yes and - incorrectly - accept that URL and so a redirect happens to / or /diensten/ depending on what the Joomla router says.
Just disable that option and the 404 should work as expecetd.
So I disabled the menu items under DIENSTEN (the submenus) purged SH404SEF and changed the behavior in easyblog sef settings to:
Simple
http://yoursite.com/menu/title
And it is working..... but it has created a new problem:
If you go to
https://www.offirent.be/klanten
you can see that every URL is going to categorie DIENSTEN this is a wrong behavior becausse premium-pig is a client and not a service
https://www.offirent.be/diensten/premium-pig
If you go to
https://www.offirent.be/faq
It is giving he same strange behavior. Can this be a problem related to a update, or what is wrong with easyblog?
Second question the 404 behaviour. There is a routing to the main page:
https://www.offirent.be/this-is-a-404page
https://www.offirent.be/klanten/this-is-a-404page
So I disabled the two redirects for the 404 but it is still redirecting my 404 page. Weeblr is thinking the problem is with easyblog.
