Hi,

I just bought EasyBlog, but having some troubles to integrate it in my single page website.
It's probably because of the template, which doesn't use Joomla menus but a custom HTML navigation bar (more options for styling, scripting and responsiveness).

Is it possible to use EB modules without using Joomla menu items?
I just want a simple blogging functionality under the News section of my website. The showcase slider module seems perfect for this, but the articles I created in the backend aren't showing.

Thanks!
Hello Dave,

Easy Blog is a component that will automatically create a joomla menu, but this joomla menu can be hidden & Easy Blog module doesn't need a Joomla menu.

You need to install the EasyBlog first before using module and then hide the Joomla menu which created by Easyblog.

Install the EasyBlog module & assign it to the specific spot within your site

Hi Kheng Wei,

Thanks for the reply, that's reassuring at least

Could you perhaps point out where in the EasyBlog options I can assign the location?

Hello Dave,

You can check the location by going to the backend > Global configuration > Template manager > enable this http://screencast.com/t/8BofSBCCKdD

After you have enable it you type the URL and you can view the spot you want to assign the module as shown in the example screen shot http://screencast.com/t/vzgtrBeZ

From there you can go to back end > Module manager & search for the position and set the module within the position that you wanted

Hope that helps

Of course, no problem.
I can't seem to find a way to send you a private message on this forum though. Do you have a mail address I can use to give you the admin password?

I know which module location I want to use, it's just that I can't find the option in the EasyBlog settings to assign it. Sorry, for the confusion.

I have installed the EB component, but it seems there are no modules that come with it out the box?
When I want to add new module, there's no EasyBlog module to choose from.

I have installed EasyBlog Showcase separately but it makes use of a menu as well. I've assigned it to the location, but nothing shows on the page. From your explanation, I get that you can assign a location somewhere in the EasyBlog settings?

Edit: I have updated the website with some mockup data to indicate what I want:

Hello Dave,

Sorry for late reply to this,
You should download the Easyblog module manually from http://stackideas.com/downloads/modules/easyblog

Do you mean that you would like to display the Easyblog Showcase module in the "NEWS" Section?

Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

*You can put the information in the optional information field below. Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

Hello Dave,

I am really sorry for the confusions. You will actually need to download the modules separately from http://stackideas.com/modules

Hi,

I have installed all EasyBlog modules now (just to be safe ).

Indeed, I would like to display the blog entries in the News section of my website. The section has position name 'blog' in the template.

I have added the showcase module and assigned it to this position. I was expecting to see the initial 'You have installed EasyBlog' article here (regardless of the right layout/theme) , but there is nothing. I have a feeling it's going to be a stupid little detail...

The site details are added to the fields below as well. Thanks again for the help!
