Checks your site and seems like there are no such items on your site currently But i believed you referring to Breadcrumbs modules. You can do some modifications on this files .../modules/mod_breadcrumbs/tmpl/default.php

If not, is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue and maybe you can point out which part of those "latest news" are you referring to currently.

I wish to customise it or find an alternative to your news ticker to one that can be easily customised, I'm ok with Joomla but CSS is something that I can tweak with but not create.

Right now, you can refer to this files .../modules/mod_easyblogticker/assets/styles/ticker-style.css for css styling or do customization at this path .../modules/mod_easyblogticker/tmpl/default.php

if I alter the .css in the location you specify surly that will be lost in the next upgrade and my php is less than my CSS!
