EasyBlog does actually trigger content plugins on the site but it depends on whether the content plugin is allowing this to happen is another issue altogether Some content plugin explicitly only allows it to generate output if they are being processed by com_content.

I wrote a small content plugin myself and I mostly copied the code and now it does not work in EB ...

There is a bug in 5.0.35 which causes the content plugin to not be rendered in the entry view. You can fix this by downloading the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/post/

Hm, this should already be fixed on 5.0.41. If you are still experiencing issues with this, could you start a new thread and I will look into this?
