Dear Support,

i have ES + Vanilla, unfortunately i cannot assign the Modules to the desired Positions.

I hav found here that there are way more positions offered in the documentation that what is actually offered in my backend. did something go wrong in my installation?

You have to press enter key after you put the module position name on your module, you can watch my video here : http://take.ms/2mYL0

Because those module position only display your current installed the template, it will not show 3rd party extension module position on that field.

I am still looking for a way to remove the "filter by app" module in the sidebar on the es-dashboard.
i cannot find it anywhere. can you give me a hint? thanks!!

You can disable this from backend > Easysocial > setting > user > layout > Display Application Filters - NO, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.
