Hi folks!
I am really fascinated about the speed of the ES mobile template. Only, I would have liked to have this position (position-joomla-menu) back again, even if it slows down the speed a little. I think it would be a fine place to render Content, that is shown in the dashboard aside position on desktop devices.
Greetings
Peter
I am not really sure what you mean for the 'position-joomla-menu', do you mean you would like to show this menu https://take.ms/zr7Y2 on mobile template?

No, I am referring to the ES mobile template. I older versions of that template, there where 3 Modul positions:

position-before-component (Appears before the extension)
position-after-component (Appears after the extension)
position-joomla-menu (Appears in the popup from the Joomla menu)

The last one is obsolete in the newest version.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Oh, we already deprecated this `position-joomla-menu` module position in the latest Easysocial mobile template.

Perhaps you can share with us which mobile tab layout you would like to show your custom module?

Hi Arlex,

excuse the delay. The Joomla menu looks naked and a little "unsexy". And It would help to navigate, when content like: Friends, online User, latest albums, latest blog posts and such things would be able to render there.

No problem for the delay Peter.

Do you mean the menu background layout is not good right? https://take.ms/o7gEMd

Actually there got 2 section for the menu part, one is render from the Joomla menu which is under top right corner button and the second layer setting bar which is :

Android device - display after the header. https://take.ms/N0Ram
iPhone device - display at footer https://take.ms/NADMV

You can check my attached screenshot below, for those friends, album, blog appear under this setting part.

Hey Arlex,

uhhh, that have been a long delay, but i spent some time using the mobile template to find out, what goes and what i'm really missing.
The second layer setting bar is quite cool for registered users and offers a good navigation through the community - very cool. Guest on the other side don't have any possibility to navigate through the community. I bypassed this inconvenience by expanding the joomla menu with: pages, groups events and so on. (visible only on mobile devices with "visible-phone" class). While this works fine, it would be better (to my mind), if the ES mobile header would work like the responsive version of the toolbar module, that shows all that to guests too. The ability to log in or sign up from any page would also make sense.

But what really really ... really matters is a visual feedback when something is clicked. I think it would be easy (for you ) to integrate a preloader into the template. Especially if someone adds the website to the home screen of the phone, you have no indication about the loading progress.

I think that's really important to not frustrate the users. I have observed, if for a few moments nothing happens after the tapping, they push wildly everywhere ...

Nice greetings from sunny Austria

Peter

Hey Peter,

Thanks for getting back to us, if you would like to allow guest user to navigate to those group, event, page and other page as well, you can actually create a new menu item for these different menu type and set to only show for the guest user.

So guest user can able to navigate those pages on the site using that first layer menu.
Once they logged in on the site, these menu item will not appear on the first layer menu, so they need to navigate these pages from the second layer menu.

Imagine if the web mobile template show the toolbar at the header, it will not look nicer, you can compare this following screenshot.
http://take.ms/yZFyU (web mobile template)
http://take.ms/VCOxI (Normal responsive web layout)

For the pre-loader, we will see if we can do something about this in the future version, but you can request this on our Easysocial feature request page https://stackideas.com/forums/easysocial/feature-requests-2 .

By the way, thanks for your input.
