Doing a comparison of EasySocial and "that other social" component from the competition, I have found that the only advantages the other one has at this point is the Groups feature, Events feature, and the extensive collection of 3rd party Addons and Plugins. EasySocial is currently working on adding Groups/Pages and I have full faith in their ability to make their groups and pages better than the competition. Events can (in theory) be done with many 3rd party components already so that one isn't a big deal.

The addons and plugins should in theory be pretty easy to port to EasySocial, as it looks like the developer API is relatively close in both products. So here is my question, are there other people in the user community here that would be willing to put in a little work to get things ported? Or anyone willing to give me some quick lessons on exactly how it is done? I am not a coder, but I am very quick learner, and I think that if we pool together our collective abilities as a community we can make EasySocial the best social network engine ever made.
Hello Tyler,

Perhaps you should try to take a look at some of the apps that we have already created. That could give you a head start on how you could create apps for EasySocial
