Hi There,

On the popup photo viewer there is an option to View Original but by default the behavior of this link is when clicked it will immediately download the original photo. But if you click on Download Photo, it will ask you to login.

Shouldn't it both do that? Shouldn't it also ask users to login first for View Original? Also, instead of download why not render the original photo in the browser?

Thanks,

Hi Jackson,

Regarding this, I've consult to our developers and they've discussed that it is the current default behavior.
But they realized that it needs to improvise. I've logged this issue in our issue tracker (milestone Easyocial 2.1) and our developers will take an action for this.

Thanks for your understanding Jackson.

Hi Jackson,

Seems like you've stored the images in the amazon s3 where as you click on the 'view original' photo it is actually going to the amazon s3 storage path.
As you access the path, amazon s3 will popup download for the image.

Hi Fadhli,

Yes, I am using Amazon S3 and yes, it is actually going to S3 path. What I am saying is, is that right? If you click on Download Photo link, the guy who code this choosed to ask the user to login first (when a user is not logged in). But, clicking on View Original he/she chose to let the user download it immediately. Why? The Download Photo link by the way is also linked to Amazon S3.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Fadhli,

Sorry for being a pain but I just got an opportunity of willing group of people (in our community it is so hard to convince people to use a system to manage their group) who would want to use Groups and I am taking the chance and in return I am listening to feedbacks. So as an end users, they are telling me their UX. If I don't listen to them and do something about it, they might or would loose interest and stop using it.

Please extend my thanks to your dev team, I appreciate their listening ears and I promise not to ask for specific feature that would only benefit me. If I do, please let me know right away. I appreciate constructive discussion as what Mark said.

Thanks again,

Jackson
