Polling Error on notifications

The site does not seem to be polling for notifications or friend requests in the charm template.

I.e - i created a new user, then under their profile added me as a friend. This was in firefox. I went back to chrome where i am logged in and no notification is highlighted. i refreshed the page and no notification highlighted. I click on the friends icon and the request is there

I then started a message convo between both profiles. No notification highlighted in either fire fox or chrome, if the message page is open it is not refreshed

i notice however in chrome dev console the attached picture message, if i click on it i get a 403 forbidden, if these are permission issue what are the recommended permissions for this file albeith i have not changed these

As suspected it was Admin tools htaccess file not sure if they changed something as never had this issue before but i added the following exception to the php file and polling loads as expected

Under Allow Direct Access to these files i added - components/com_easysocial/polling.php and recreated the htaccess file and all polls good

Just for info and too rule out admin tools issue, i literally just rebuilt the site from scratch, and the polling issue is still there, every now and then an error about tooltips comes up when clicking on the notification buttons

Regarding this error, it might be your server restricted this access so return this 403 forbidden error.
Can you consult with your webhosting provider regarding this and see whether possible to allow this request to this file JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/polling.php for execution?


Just for info and too rule out admin tools issue, i literally just rebuilt the site from scratch, and the polling issue is still there, every now and then an error about tooltips comes up when clicking on the notification buttons

It seems like I was unable to replicate this under this stack user account, can you provide us your user login account which having this issue so I can able to check this?
