May i know type of discussion are you referring to? Is it Easydiscuss or EasySocial's discussion and exactly how to replicate this? Please advice.

Maybe your can try to re-create them(discussion) again using admin user and see how it goes. I am unable to replicate this using your site and on my local right now.

Users User1 and User2 and User3 - registered Joomla users are included in the standard group Profile Types - Registered Users.
User2 created event - event 6
User2 created a discussion - discuss 6-1 (http://onlytest.ru/events/13-event-6-2/apps/55-discussions/item/12)
User1 add a like on the discussion and the answer in the discussion. User2 has just appeared - Like Your Reply Discussion in Group.
User1 created a discussion - discuss 6-2 (http://onlytest.ru/events/13-event-6-2/apps/55-discussions/item/14)
User3 add a like on the discussion and the answer in the discussion. User1 has only appeared - Like Your Reply Discussion in Group.
Try it on my website. You can create and test what you want.
login - user1,user2,user3
pass - user1,user2,user3

Sorry for confusion made

It seems that we cant achiieved that currently as you can see here http://take.ms/3mao7. There are no such points to be awarded if someone likes your discussion on Events. But, it would be best if you can submit a 'Feature Request' by submitting a new thread and choose 'Feature Request' for us to check if there are many request on it, it will see if we can implement this on future release.

For groups there is an accrual of points. You can remove the words 'in Group' and charge for answers in the discussion of the event
