Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Am testing it on WAMP local server
i undertsand that its pretty difficult to trace like same, but i cannot make it live as loads of minor customizations done in previous versions

Have shared in Firefox console error , does it help or suggest on what to do

If not would be it possible through team viewer or any app to provide you control of site on local server and you may check on

To update, i have disabled
> all 3rd party plugins in joomla (except EB & ED) to check if indeed if someother extension incompatibility
> made htaccess to default joomla

Cleared cache, browsed in new brower
Have installed EB& ED in wamp with entire zip file again and its installing correctly too
But still

but still this issue where in the toolbar is not working
a) Not able to login
b) + button not clicking
c) Question button not working
d) In Easyblog front end composer button not opening
e) In Easyblog front end not able to post comments

Without site details, it is really difficult for us to know what goes wrong if unable to investigate this on your site directly.

To Rectify the issue see below

+ If your site got enabled any CSS/JS compression or cache, please turn it off and check this.

+ Can you try to view the page source where the error is hitting and search for the Joomla core-js ( media/system/js/core.js) file is loaded or not on the page?

+ Try to switch your site template with the default Joomla template and see it working or not.
If it's working with the default template then it seems an issue coming with the template you are using that the template itself doesn't load the Joomla core-js.

Spot on - looks like indeed an issue where its working when default joomla template used
and yes this file - media/system/js/core.js was not loading earlier and

Wondering is it related to Security or only for easydiscuss scripts in latest version as i checked that this file was disabled by a team member earlier as was taking slight increased loading time and tro curtail all unnecessary scripts it was disabled to load,

Joomla core js file is needed to load for the proper working of our component as it's relying on this core js file to define the "Joomla" variable to load on the site and jQuery as well.
You need to enable this file.

I've exactly the same issue after upgrading from easydiscuss 4.* to 5.*. The plus button is not working on any web-browser: chrome, firefox, edge... but in chrome for android, the button works well.

If I switch to the joomla default template it works well too, but this is not an option.

I've disabled the javascript optimizer but this doesn't fixed the issue. The file /media/system/js/core.js was loaded when I disable the javascript optimization.

Any clues or fixes?
